Castleton, also known as Magic Castle is the home land and hub of the game where the player lives. It has many shops located through it, as well as portals that lead to other worlds. Since Castleton is the hub of the game, it doesn't necessarily count as a world.

In Disney Magical World, it is split into two plazas, the central plaza and the entrance plaza. In Disney Magical World 2, Castleton is separated into three sections: Castle Town, Castle Square, and Castle Street.

Sections and Features[]

Disney Magical World[]

Entrance Plaza[]

Café - The player owns a café where they can make foods and drinks for customers to eat. It's a good way to make money as well.

Daisy's Boutique- Daisy's boutique is a place in Castleton where players can bring the coins and materials they have collected, and craft different pieces of clothing. Daisy Duck will offer a selection of craftable articles of clothing and accessories which the player can choose and craft. Different clothing recipes can be found and unlocked throughout the game.

Chip & Dale's workshop- Chip & Dale's workshop is a place where players can bring the coins and materials they have collected, and craft different pieces of furniture and decorations for their café. Chip and Dale will offer a selection of craftable furniture and decorations which the player can choose from and craft. Different furniture recipes can be found and unlocked throughout the game.

McDuck's- McDuck's is the first store that players get to visit in the game. It is owned by Scrooge McDuck while Huey, Dewey and Louie help him run the shop. There, players can buy materials, seeds, clothing, and furniture. The stock at the store changes constantly. Players can also go upstairs and sell items to Scrooge McDuck in exchange for coins.

Shop of Wonder- The Shop of Wonder, or Fortune Shop, is a shop run by a witch named Miss Teri. There, you can buy a variety of different exclusive items that you purchase with Nice Points.

Yen Sid's Tower- The tower is where players can go to speak to Yen Sid and get their wands upgraded.

The Castle- Inside the castle, players can talk to the king. He will give you rewards for collecting certain amounts of trading cards. Players can also trade cards with the chamberlain and learn new greetings from the chancellor.

The magic dungeon- The dungeon is a mysterious quest area where the ghosts change every time.

Fishing Areas- 1) The recreational area is an area with Castleton's local fishin' hole. The fishin' hole is a Mickey Mouse silhouette-shaped fishing hole where the player can go fishing at any time. Often, Donald Duck can be seen sitting next to the pond, fishing. The first time the player comes to the fishin' hole, the player is taught how to fish by Donald Duck.

2)There is a fishing dock near the water as well.

Entrance Plaza[]

Castleton Air Travel- A ship attached to balloons lies in the entrance plaza. Bella and Luna run this feature. Bella and Luna stand in front of the ship waiting for you to talk to them. By talking to Bella, the player can bring up a menu screen for different wireless connections and DLC options. Rarely, if a player talks to Bella, another player's avatar will exit the ship to visit your Castleton.

Disney Magical World 2[]

Castleton is split into 3 sections. (Castle Square, Castle Town, and Castle Street)

Castle Street[]

New Features

Minnie's Beauty Salon- At Minnie's Beauty Salon, players can make changes to their avatar's appearance. They can also purchase sparkles.

Three little pigs house renovations- This is a shop run by Fifer pig, Fiddler pig, and Practical pig. They sell items such as roof tile, front doors, and other exterior design factors.

Souvenir Wagon- This is a Wagon that sells small souvenirs like popcorn and balloons.

Repeated Features

Daisy's Boutique- Daisy's Boutique is about the same as the one in DMW1 except for the completely different interior, and the fact that Daisy now has a companion named Clarice that helps her run the boutique.

Chip & Dale's Workshop- Chip & Dale's Workshop functions the same, but is now indoors.

McDuck's- McDuck's is exactly the same but has more items being sold, and does not have a second floor. Instead, Scrooge McDuck stands at the front of the shop for the player to sell items.

Castle Town[]

Repeated Features

Café-The café is a lot more updated than the one in the first game. It is much larger and there is now a stage where dancers will perform. During a party, players can host dance shows.

New Features

Character houses- Players can go into Minnie's house, Mickey's house, and Donald's house. Donald Duck has a boat from which he fishes. Donald's house is in the boat. The player can come onto the boat and fish. The first time the player comes to the boat, the player is taught how to fish by Donald Duck.

Player's house- Instead of the player living on the second floor of the café, they now have their own home.

Castle Square[]

Repeated features

Fortune Shop- This shop is basically the same but the stock is different.

The magic dungeon- The magic dungeon is pretty much the same as in the last game. However, there is a finite list of episodes instead of the randomized 5 floors from the first game.

The Castle- Since cards no longer exist in Disney Magical World 2, the functions change. (The Chancellor accepts stickers instead of cards, for example)

Yen Sid's Tower- This feature is exactly the same as in the first game except for some of the visuals and the interior/exterior.

New Features

Magic Dance Hall- The Magic Dance Hall is an area connected to the castle where players can participate in Ballroom Dancing and attend many balls of many themes.

Episodes (Castle Vaults)[]

The episodes all take place in the Magic Dungeon. Episodes in the Magic Dungeon are called castle vaults. They are different from episodes in other worlds because the ghosts and structure of one episode are different every time you play the episode. In Disney Magical World 1, there are no set dungeon episodes; instead, there are 5 floors with randomly changing enemies that counts as an "episode". However, in Disney Magical World 2, there are set episodes for the Magic Dungeon, which are listed below.

  • Chip and Dale Need a Thing!
  • Goofy's Missing Keys
  • The King's Magic Cauldron
  • Minnie's Missing Dish
  • Mickey's Request

Portals of mystery[]

Castleton includes portals to all of the other worlds. To use a portal, press A while standing in front of it, and you should be transported to the world the portal leads to. Each portal (excluding Lilo & Stitch's World, Jack's World, and Cinderella's World) is unlocked after the player completes about 2 to 3 episodes in the previously unlocked world. The Pirates of the Caribbean world is unlocked only through DLC.
